Alumni Nights at the Joe January 14 and March 24, 2010
The Oakland University Alumni Association is hitting the ice! Join OU alumni and friends at Joe Louis Arena to cheer for the Detroit Red Wings when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes on Jan. 14, 2010, and the St. Louis Blues on March 24, 2010.
Enjoy a pre-game reception for both game dates. The reception for the January 14 game will be in the Manhattan room at the Joe Louis arena at 6 p.m. The reception for the March 24 game against St. Louis will be at Hockey Town Café at 6 p.m.
A shuttle will be provided at this game to transport attendees to and from the Joe Louis Arena. The puck hits the ice at 7:30 p.m. for both games.
The ticket price is $50, and includes dinner and game ticket. OUAA members will receive a free commemorative gift.
Sweethearts Dinner February 13, 2010
Make this Valentine’s Day one to remember. The OUAA invites alumni and friends to the Sweethearts Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester.
Take a stroll down a romantic memory lane as you enjoy a multicourse dinner, exquisite chocolate dessert, and champagne toast in the luxurious setting of the Royal Park Hotel. While this event is open to all, the OUAA is especially excited to welcome those couples who met while at OU. So whether your romance began in O’Dowd Hall or Kresge Library, join us for a special evening at the Royal Park Hotel.
Cost is $100 per couple and includes a dinner, dessert and champagne toast. Wine will also be available for purchase.
As part of the Sweethearts Dinner, the Royal Park Hotel is offering a special room rate for those who would like to stay overnight. The rate is $129 and will be available until Jan. 25, 2010.
