Nominations for 2010 Teaching Excellance Awards due Dec. 11
Oakland University's Senate Teaching and Learning Committee will accept nominations for the 2010 Teaching Excellence Awards through Friday, Dec. 11.
There will be two awards given for 2010. One will go to a tenure-track faculty member and the other to a non-tenure-track faculty member. Each award includes a cash stipend and will be presented at the 15th Annual Faculty Recognition Luncheon, tentatively scheduled for mid April, 2010.
Nominations may be made by any member of the university community, including students, faculty, alumni, administrators, and staff. Student nominations are a highly valued component of this process. Faculty may not self-nominate for the award, but are encouraged to announce this nomination process in all classes. Students are encouraged to consider a faculty member who has facilitated their progress during undergraduate course work or during graduate study.
Previous winners and current members of the Teaching and Learning Committee are not eligible for nomination. A plaque showing previous Teaching Excellence Award winners is on display in the lobby of the Kresge Library.
