Brad Roth Reviews Recent Publicaitons in Medical Physics

CBR member Brad Roth--along with Russell Hobbie, Emeritus Professor from the University of Minnesota--published Resource Letter MP-2: Medical Physics (Volume77, Pages 967-997) in the November 2009 issue of the American Journal of Physics. What is a resource letter?
"Resource Letters are guides for college and university physicists, astronomers, and other scientists to literature, websites, and other teaching aids. Each Resource Letter focuses on a particular topic and is intended to help teachers improve course content in a specific field of physics or to introduce nonspecialists to this field."
Their resource letter "provides a guide to the literature on the uses of physics for the diagnosis and treatment of disease."

This is not the first collaboration between Roth and Hobbie. In 2007 they published the 4th edition of the textbook Intermediate Physics for Medicine and Biology. One unique feature of this book is that it has its own blog, http://hobbieroth.blogspot.com, with weekly updates about current issues in biological and medical physics, and supplementary information for the book.

Roth is coordinator of OU's Biomedical Sciences: Medical Physics PhD program.
