Oakland University Student Technology Center to offer workshops

Rochester, Mich. – The Student Technology Center, in partnership with the Center for Integrated Business Research and Education (CIBRE) at Oakland University, will host three, two-week Microsoft Office workshops during the months of October and November.

The first workshop, to be held Saturday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 31, will teach participants how to use Microsoft Word. The following workshop, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7, and Saturday, Nov. 14, will cover Microsoft Excel. The third workshop, to be held Saturday, Nov. 21, and Saturday, Dec. 5, will cover Microsoft Access. The cost for all three workshops is $320.

The Student Technology Center features the latest equipment and on-site support to help business leaders maximize efficiency in technology training. It can accommodate large or small groups in a conference, round table or classroom setting.

In addition, the facility offers a complete array of technology-based services, including a wireless Internet connection, CD and DVD-burning, color laser-printing, digital and still video cameras and DVD/VHS capabilities. The facility’s close proximity to area hotels and access to catering services add to its continuing emergence as a premier destination for technology training in southeast Michigan.

The Student Technology Center is located in Room 44 of the Oakland Center on the campus of Oakland University. For more information on the workshops or to register, call (248) 370-3177.
