Human Resources Department to host retirement planning workshop
The Oakland University Human Resources Department is inviting employees who are five to 10 years from retirement to attend a Pre-Retirement Workshop set for Tuesday, Oct. 13.
A representative from the Social Security Administration, as well as representatives of the university’s retirement plan providers, will provide participants with an introduction to the retirement planning process and direction on how to approach this important life transition with confidence.
Topics of discussion will include Social Security, Medicare highlights, a quarterly market update and retirement income options.
Employees can attend the workshop during the morning session, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., or the afternoon session, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Both sessions take place in the Oakland Center Gold Rooms. To register, visit the UHR Training Web site.
