The Oakland Jazz Singers ensemble is currently recruiting male and female vocalists for the fall 2009 semester. Established in 2003 by the late Danny Jordan, this ensemble performs complex vocal jazz works and helps singers develop jazz style and blend, scat singing, solo production and microphone technique. The group is open to anyone, regardless of academic major.
The class (MUE 315) meets 1 p.m.-2:07 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 1:20 p.m.-2:27 p.m. Fridays. Registration for classes ends Friday, Sept. 11.
