Rec center invites OU staff, students and friends to free gym day
Oakland University employees, alumni and family and friends of students are invited to try out the campus recreation center from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8 free of charge. Participants can play basketball and racquetball, attend fitness classes, run the track, relax in the hot tub and swim laps in the pool. Other activities include five-minute massages, yoga, pilates, boxing, ab lab and dodge ball.
Adults must sign in with a picture ID and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult while in the facility. Young children must be in the same area as their parent or legal guardian. Children must be 16 to enter the fitness center.
The center will be promoting its new one month and four month membership plans for alumni, faculty, staff and students.
Additionally, the recreation center is hosting its annual rec center vs housing flag football game, tailgate party and the grand opening of the new disk golf course on Thursday, Sept. 10.
