City of Rochester seeks student for internship position

The City of Rochester is currently seeking a human resources intern. Oakland University students majoring in human resources management, public administration or a closely related field are encouraged to apply for the position, which offers exposure to various facets of the human resources field, in addition to experience working in a professional office environment.

The City of Rochester and Oakland University signed a partnership agreement in 2003 with the goal of bringing Rochester employees and Oakland students together through internships and career-related employment.

The human resources internship will be tailored to the successful candidate, depending on their skill level and interests. The unpaid internship requires 15 to 20 hours per week for at least one semester. Successful candidates must be in good academic standing, familiar with Microsoft Office and able to maintain confidentiality.

Interested students should e-mail a resume and cover letter to Derrick Kozicki, at dkozicki@ci.rochester.mi.us by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10. For more information, visit the City of Rochester Web site.
