This year we will be honoring key alumni and supporters who contribute countless ways to the university, to their communities, to their professions and the world around us. We are honoring prominent alumni and community leaders like Paul McGhee, L. Brooks Patterson, Ron May and Jackie Long. We hope that you can join us in awarding our honorees.

Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award

The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award recognizes outstanding professional achievement or contribution to the community

The Odyssey Award

Founder/President, The Laughter Remedy

The Odyssey Award honors alumni whose lives exemplify Oakland University’s motto to “seek virtue and knowledge.”

The Honorary Alumni Awards are given to individuals who have not graduated from OU, but who have given outstanding service to the university.


The OUAA hosts an Alumni Awards Banquet annually, bringing together hundreds of Oakland University graduates to honor achievements in business, community service, volunteerism and more.
