Money doesn’t grow on trees, but on August 18, it does magically multiply.

OU Alumni and friends of OU, we wanted to bring you up to speed about the latest happenings at Meadow Brook Hall. As you know, the Hall is the former home of Matilda Dodge Wilson, founder of your Alma Matter Oakland University and there’s a lot going on here!

Meadow Brook Hall is featuring some great events this summer. The community’s given us tons of positive feedback about our “Family Matters” summer tour- taking place Mon-Sun 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m. Come check it out! We are wrapping up our Jazz in the Garden concert series on August 27 with a performance by local musician Shelia Landis. For all of you avid outdoors men and women please join us for Tastes of the Wild, Meadow Brook Hall’s annual Wild Game dinner on September 17. You can also go to our website www.meadowbrookhall.org/ to view our 2009 events calendar, where you’ll find something for everyone to do!

Also, we’d like to fill you in on something great happening at Meadow Brook Hall! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us to potentially raise more $$$ than ever before! We invite you to join us in supporting the preservation & maintenance of this historical landmark.

Beginning August 18 at 10:00 a.m. the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, through the Community Foundation Challenge – Arts & Culture, is providing up to $1 million to match general operating gifts made online at www.cfsem.org to support participating arts and cultural organizations, including MEADOW BROOK HALL.

A match of $1 will be provided for every $2 contributed! In other words, if you give us $25, it becomes $37.50. Give us $50, & it multiplies to $75 – it’s just that easy!

Matching funds will be awarded on a “first gift, first match” basis. The matching program will end as soon as the $1 million of match funds are gone.

So mark your calendar to go to www.cfsem.org at 10:00 a.m. on August 18 to make a gift in support of MEADOW BROOK HALL.

Remember, just point, click and preserve!
Meadow Brook Hall thanks you for your support.
