Road and parking lot closures scheduled for Sunday, May 17

On Sunday, May 17, a 5K and a 10K run will be held on campus to benefit the Oakland University Center for Autism Research, Education and Support (OUCARES).

The event will necessitate the closure of all main campus roadways and most parking lots from 9-11 a.m. The Recreation Center will remain open for use during this time period, however.

The P-1 Parking Lot, accessible from Squirrel Road, and the P-3 Lot, accessible from Walton Boulevard, will be open for vehicles entering and exiting the campus during the above times. For those needing transportation to various parts of the main campus during the road closures, transportation will be provided by designated Recreation Center staff operating golf carts.

Vehicles may be parked in all other main campus lots and the P-29 Parking Deck prior to 9 a.m. Vehicles will not be allowed to exit those lots during the above times, however. All roadways and parking lots will be opened for normal traffic at approximately 11 a.m.

Questions may be referred to OUCARES at (248) 370-2424 or oucares@oakland.edu.

Anyone interested in participating or volunteering is asked to visit www.therunforautism.org for more information.
