OU welcomes new director of planned giving

Patricia Zawadzki is OU's new director of planned giving.
The University Relations division is pleased to announce the addition of Patricia Zawadzki, recently named director of planned giving.

Zawadzki has more than twenty years experience in development and marketing. Most recently she served as the chief development officer for the Michigan Humane Society where she was a member of an executive team, providing strategic direction to lead the humane society’s marketing, development, volunteer and educational projects.

Previously, Zawadzki held the position of vice president of development, marketing and public relations at Guest House, Inc., in Lake Orion. She has also worked in development for Mercy Health Foundation and Mercy Hospitals and Health Services of Detroit.

“Oakland University is a known success story in the region and I look forward to the opportunity to help provide critical resources to ensure its success far into the future,” Zawadzki said. “I’m here to assist faculty, staff, alumni and friends as they remember Oakland in their wills and estate plans in a manner that is effective for both parties.”

“Pat brings a wealth of major and planned gift experience to our team and we are thrilled to have her on board,” Sue Goepp, vice president for University Relations said. “I’d encourage anyone who has questions about planned giving to contact Pat.”

Located in the John Dodge House, Zawadzki can be reached at zawadzki@oakland.edu or (248) 364-6129.
