Meadow Brook Greenhouse to host popular annual plant sale May 14-15

The Meadow Brook Greenhouse at Oakland University will host its annual plant sale on from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, May 14-15.

For sale will be bedding plants such as geraniums, impatiens and begonias; small perennials such as salvia, columbine, flax and various groundcover plants; some tropical plants and some vegetables and herbs.

All plants for the widely popular sale have been carefully nurtured by expert horticulturalists and will be offered at very competitive prices.
Funds generated by the sale will be used to support restoration and renovation of the facility, which is a historic, 1914 Lutton solar greenhouse originally owned by Oakland University founder Matilda Dodge Wilson.

The greenhouse is located off Adams Road south of Walton Blvd., adjacent to the John Dodge House on the east campus of Oakland University. Visitors can use the Adams Road entrance to campus and follow the signs. For more information, call (248) 364-6171.
