SBA Accounting Students attend Leadership Seminar in Lansing

Fourteen Oakland University Accounting students recently were guests at the Michigan Association of CPAs' Members Advisory Symposium, held May 9 in Lansing. This symposium brings together approximately 250 leaders from the public accounting profession throughout the state of Michigan , to hear from prominent national and Michigan speakers. These students had an exceptional experience that was topped off with breakfast with Barry Melancon, President of the 350,000-member American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr Melancon and the Oakland students were the only participants at the breakfast. Students attending included: Korry Bates Chris Becker Stacy Bright Kristina Buck Ashley Eckhout Christine Hansen Stephanie Lumetta Kareyna Miller Imran Mirza Awa Sylla Brian Tremblay Robert M. Vaughn Benjamin Vereecke Gabriela Zarovska Also, Professors Gadis Dillon, Donna Free, and Sandra Pelfrey attended.
