OU to host experts in panel discussions on building careers in a new state economy

Rochester, Mich. – Area workers interested in learning how to start a new career, as well as how to take advantage of options and resources available to assist in the process, are invited to attend a series of informative discussions hosted by the Center for Integrated Business Research and Education (CIBRE) in the School of Business Administration at Oakland University.

On two Saturdays each month, participants will meet with the dean of the School of Business Administration, faculty members and other career professionals to gather information, seek commonalities among those exploring alternative careers and develop strategies that will help start a journey to a fruitful career in a new Michigan economy.

In addition, participants can network with other people transforming their careers and find out about current and emerging opportunities.
Discussions will focus on the tool and die industry, health care, bio fuels, batteries, solar wind and other fields. The talks will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on alternating Saturdays starting May 23 and ending August 22.

Reservations are not necessary, but appreciated. Those interested in reserving a spot can do so by e-mailing to desmet@oakland.edu. For more information, visit www.sba.oakland.edu/cibre.
