Lit to Film Book Club announces new lineup

Free book – open to all! The OUAA Lit to Film Book Club will begin its new year in September with a special offer – a free book to anyone interested in attending the book discussion session. The book club will kick off Tuesday, Sept. 1 in Kresge Library room 225B at 6 p.m. to view and discuss Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates. Members read the book before the meeting, and then discuss the book after watching the film. Meetings are typically over by 9 p.m.

The library will provide a copy of Revolutionary Road to anyone who plans to attend the book club meeting on Sept. 1. If you have ever thought about attending a Lit to Film meeting, this is the perfect opportunity to do so. All are welcome - bring your spouse, friend, or neighbor!

Meeting dates and titles are as follows:

The group is led by Anne Switzer, assistant professor of information services and outreach librarian at Kresge Library. If you would like more information about the book club or how to join, contact Gail Meyers at (248) 364-6132 or meyers@oakland.edu.

With the exception of the September meeting, participation in the book club is a membership benefit available only to current Alumni Association members. To join the Alumni Association, or if you have questions about membership, contact Gail Meyers at (248) 364-6132 or meyers@oakland.edu.

The Lit to Film Book Club is sponsored by Kresge Library and the Oakland University Alumni Association.
