Three commencement ceremonies set for Saturday, May 2

Oakland University will honor its April and June graduates at three commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 2, at the Baldwin Pavilion on the grounds of Meadow Brook Music Festival.
Speakers for the ceremonies are OU alumnus Jamie Wright, CAS ’08 at 9 a.m., Joseph R. Angileri, managing partner of Michigan Deloitte LLP, at 1 p.m. and OU alumnus Bradley P. Atkins, SEHS graduating class ’09, at 5 p.m.
Vocal and performing arts major Allison Minando, CAS graduating class ’09, will perform the national anthem to the more than 2,000 matriculating seniors at all three ceremonies.
The pavilion will be open for guests one hour before each ceremony and tickets are not required. Guests may sit in the pavilion or on the lawn as they arrive. All guests must be seated 10 minutes prior to the processional.

Those planning to attend graduation should review the campus map and parking information. Parking is free and open to the public, except where indicated. In case of inclement weather, information will be available by calling (248) 370-2000 or by tuning in to WWJ or WJR radio stations or Fox2, WDIV-TV or WXYZ-TV.
Each ceremony will be interpreted in sign language. Guests with other special needs should call the Office of the Provost at (248) 370-2190.
