Gardening seminar for Michigan Organic Food and Farm Alliance this Saturday
The Michigan Organic Food and Farm Alliance (MOFFA, www.moffa.org) will be hosting an organic gardening seminar for suburban gardeners on Saturday, April 25 at Oakland University.
The seminar will be taught by Pat Whetham and Suzanne Rutkowski. Whetham currently owns and operates a 90 acre organic farm and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in Flushing, Michigan. Rutkowski is from Warren and will bring a beginning gardener's perspective to the seminar.
The seminar will run from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Oakland Center, Rooms 126 & 127, and will cost $35 per person or $60 per couple in advance or $40 per person and $70 per couple at the door. Pre-registration and tuition payment is encouraged as seating is limited. Checks or money orders should be made out to Pat Whetham. The class fee will also include handouts and a voucher for a free organic vegetable plant.
