OUPD and OU Housing host charity softball game to benefit HAVEN

The Oakland University Police Department will take on staff from Oakland University Housing in a softball contest organized to benefit Help Against Violent Encounters Now (HAVEN) of Oakland County.

The 2009 Charity Softball Game will take place at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at Civic Center Park in Auburn Hills, 1827 N. Squirrel Road. The park is located just south of University Drive of off E. Seyburn Dr.

Admission to the event, which will feature a raffle and free food and beverages, is $3 per person. All proceeds will go to support the non-profit HAVEN and its programs.

HAVEN of Oakland County provides 24-hour domestic violence and sexual assault treatment, as well as prevention services. To learn more, visit www.haven-oakland.org.
