Marketing during economic turbulence the topic of SBA forum

Today's economic turbulence has created the most challenging business environment in decades. It pervades every aspect of the economy and has business people in virtually every industry facing daunting prospects for success. The Third Annual Issues in Marketing Forum focuses on how businesses can successfully confront the challenges of the economic turbulence of our economy.

Business people, business students and faculty are invited to attend the forum, "Marketing During Economic Turbulence: Reinvent, Recommit, Revive," from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Friday, April 24 on Oakland University’s campus.

The Marketing faculty and Marketing Advisory Board of the School of Business Administration have brought together a group of speakers from an array of industries to share successful coping methods with today's economic turbulence. The forum is sponsored by SBA’s Center for Integrated Business Research and Education.

Speakers from Ogilvy, Google, Ritz-Carlton, Campbell-Ewald, Curve Detroit, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Browett and Associates and Hiller's Markets will share their experiences of what has worked for them and what hasn't. The breadth and depth of their experiences will provide a wealth of insights into how organizations can successfully navigate through the unique and harrowing challenges of today's economic turbulence.

The cost is $15 with preregistration or $25 at the door. Faculty and students are free, but must register. A continental breakfast and luncheon are included.
