OUAA open house offers alumni update and membership drive for faculty and staff
The Oakland University Alumni Association will hold an open house reception for its Campus Membership Drive from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, in the Oakland Room of Oakland Center. All faculty and staff of Oakland are invited to attend.
Organizers anticipate that about 100 attendees will learn more about membership benefits, hear presentations and enjoy refreshments. Special gifts will be offered to attendees who renew their membership or register for the first time.
“The faculty and staff of Oakland University understand the importance of education and the effect we can have on the lives and future successes of our students,” said Karen Coronado, membership program manager of Alumni Relations. “Membership in the Alumni Association is another way to make a difference for OU students.”
One benefit of an OUAA membership is the ability to help current and future students receive a quality education during difficult times.
“A portion of membership dues support scholarships,” Coronado continued. “This not only eases the financial burden of current students, but also positions Oakland as a university that is willing and able to offer resources to bright and deserving students of future generations.”
There are currently 3,800 OUAA members. For more information about the organization, visit the OUAA Web site or contact
Coronado at (248) 364-6128.
