Zijuan Liu Gets NIH Grant

Assistant Professor Zijuan Liu, of the Department of Biological Sciences, was recently awarded a 3-year grant from the National Institute of Evnironmental Health Sciences, which is one of the National Institutes of Health.  Her grant is titled "Arsenic Accumulation by Aquaglyceroporins and Phosphate Transporters in Zebrafish." For the first year, Liu will receive $222,000 to support her research on how arsenic, a major environmental pollutant, is transported into cells.
