SON to host second annual Nurse Practitioner Networking Night
Oakland University’s School of Nursing will host the second annual Nurse Practitioner Networking Night for students and alumni from 6-8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, in Oakland Center Gold Rooms B and C.
The event will provide networking opportunities with other nurse practitioners, breakout sessions focusing on nursing roles and a chance to meet and mingle with community healthcare sponsors on job opportunities.
Ann Whall, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, will speak on nursing theory for advanced practice nurses. Whall is the Allesse Endowed Professor, a 2002 Distinguished Fulbright Scholar and author of “Conceptual Models of Nursing: Analysis and Application.”
The networking evening is free for all nurse practitioners, adult gerontology and doctor of nursing practice students, and nursing practitioner alumni. Dinner is included and door prizes will be handed out.
The Gold Sponsor for the evening is Covenant Healthcare. Other sponsors include Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and St. Joseph Mercy Health System.
