OUPD offers advanced RAD class for females


The Oakland University Police Department is accepting registrations for the following Rape Aggression Defense class open to female participants:
 
Course:  Advanced RAD*
Dates:  Mar. 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 2009
Days:  Monday & Wednesday
Time:  7:00pm – 11:00pm
Location:  Campus Recreation and Athletic Center

* Must have successfully completed Basic RAD to register.
 
The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for females only. The RAD System is a comprehensive course which begins with awareness, prevention and risk reduction, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. RAD is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by highly trained instructors from the Oakland University Police Department and each student is provided with a workbook and reference manual.
 
The 24 hour Advanced RAD class is free to graduates of Basic RAD.
