Student volunteers sought for international conference
The Islamic Studies Program at Oakland University will host the first-ever “Conference on Religion, Conflict and Peace: Walking the Talk through Fear of the Unknown to Understanding and Harmony” on campus March 13-15.
More than 50 presenters and more than 60 international participants, as well as many local and national interfaith community representatives, are invited to participate.
Imam Achmat Salie, coordinator of the Islamic Studies Program at Oakland University, is looking for student volunteers to assist in managing conference activities throughout the weekend. There will be opportunities for OU students to attend some conference sessions for free.
