Leadership and technology conference planned for March 14

The Center for Student Activities & Leadership Development, in collaboration with the Student Technology Center, will host a leadership and technology conference from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
Set in Elliot Hall, the conference will educate OU students on various aspects of leadership and technology and will feature interactive workshops, team-building activities and a keynote speaker.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about a diverse range of topics, including leadership styles, recruitment and retention for student organizations, successful communication strategies, time and project management, marketing an organization, building a successful team, emerging technologies, professional networking and online etiquette, career development and goal-setting. The sessions will be led by OU faculty and staff members from across campus.
“This is going to be a valuable personal and professional development experience for our students and will also be a lot of fun,” said Jean Szura, assistant director of Student Activities & Leadership Development. “It will give them the real-world experience of attending a conference, as well as the team-building and networking experiences we all need.”
Open to all OU students, the event is free and a complimentary lunch will be provided. Those interested in attending must register by Friday, March 6, at the Leadership and Technology Conference Web page. For more information, call Szura at (248) 370-2024.
