OU community encouraged to participate in Food Fight
All Golden Grizzlies faithful are invited to help OU student athletes fight hunger during the 2009 Summit League Food Fight food drive, which continues through Saturday, Jan. 24. The event is a league-wide community service project initiated by the Summit League Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
Members of the Oakland University community can help the Golden Grizzlies win the 2009 food fight by bringing monetary donations or canned food items to the O'rena during this two-week period. The Summit League school to raise the largest amount of food, measured in pounds, will win the Summit League Food Fight trophy and help families in need in 2009.
