The Oakland University Police Department is accepting registrations for the following Rape Aggression Defense class open to female participants:

Course:  Basic RAD

The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for females only. The RAD System is a comprehensive course which begins with awareness, prevention and risk reduction, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. RAD is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by highly trained instructors from the Oakland University Police Department and each student is provided with a workbook and reference manual.

The 18 hour Basic RAD class is free to OU students and affiliates and $35.00 for non-students and non-affiliates.

To register for this class, contact Sergeant Ross or Sergeant Blalock at 248-370-3334 or visit www.police.oakland.edu/rad.html for online registration.  For more information, you may also download a class flyer.
