OUPD offers Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) class for females
The Oakland University Police Department is accepting registrations for the following Rape Aggression Defense class open to female participants:
Course: Basic RAD Dates: January 19, 21, 26, 28, February 2, 4, 2008 Days: Monday & Wednesday Time: 7:00pm – 10:00pm Location: Campus Recreation and Athletic Center
The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for females only. The RAD System is a comprehensive course which begins with awareness, prevention and risk reduction, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training. RAD is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by highly trained instructors from the Oakland University Police Department and each student is provided with a workbook and reference manual.
The 18 hour Basic RAD class is free to OU students and affiliates and $35.00 for non-students and non-affiliates.
