The Oakland University Recreation Center is giving both current and prospective members great incentives to stay true to New Year’s resolutions targeting better health and fitness.
January has been designated Member Appreciation Month, and during the weekend of Jan 10-11, visitors can take advantage of this by inviting family and friends to check out the facility. Those touring the Recreation Center will be eligible to try it out free of charge.
Also, during this weekend only, half semester memberships can be purchased for just $80, and one free month will be added to all annual memberships purchased.
University faculty and staff also will be eligible for special treatment in the new year, as Jan. 12-16 has been designated Faculty/Staff Week. Visitors will be able to tour and try out the facility free of charge. Also, those registering for annual memberships can receive 13 months for the price of 12. Family and friends of faculty and staff are not eligible for this offer.
Regular Recreation Center hours are from 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday. For more information on the facility and memberships, call (248) 370-4732 or e-mail to taylor4@oakland.edu.
