Recreation Center offering great deals over break

The OU Recreation Center is offering a number of promotions to help the university community focus on fitness and keep those New Year’s resolutions.

For Recreation Center members, gift certificates are available for personal training and fitness assessments. Those looking to help family and friends get in shape can purchase gift certificates for Recreation Center memberships and massage therapy.

During the month of December, gift certificate purchasers can get a free gift and festive packaging to send with the certificate.

The university community also is invited to take advantage of special pricing on guest and break passes. Starting Monday, Dec. 7, the price of guest passes will drop to just $8 per person. Break passes for friends and family members who are age 18 and older are available for just $50. They are valid Sunday, Dec. 7, through Monday, Jan. 5.

Holiday break hours at the OU Recreation Center will be in effect Sunday, Dec. 14 through Sunday, Jan. 4. They are:
• Monday through Thursday – 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; pool hours are 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
• Friday – 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; pool hours are 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; pool hours are 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Exceptions to holiday break hours are:
• Tuesday, Dec. 23 – 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; pool hours are 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24-25 – closed
• Friday through Tuesday, Dec. 26-30 – noon to 8 p.m.; pool hours are noon to 7:30 p.m.
• Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 – closed
• Friday through Sunday, Jan. 2-4 – 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; pool hours are 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
