Congratulations Kellie Klinck, nominated as Employee of the Month
For the last two years, Kellie Klinck has served as Academic Advisor for the School of Business Administration. Her efforts in service to our students has earned her the honor of Employee of the Month. Kellie has made significant progress in developing student initiatives aimed at assisting business students achieve academic success. Whether presenting one of her success seminars, or working individually with a student, one of Kellie's many strengths is her ability to develop a strong rapport with students. Hired to work with students who are struggling academically, she often has to deliver news to students that they may not like to hear. Kellie is able to not only deliver the difficult news, but also work with the student to establish clear, attainable goals. She motivates and encourages students to aim high and push themselves to meet their goals. Working diligently, she can handle a large case load while simultaneously developing new initiatives and maintaining her existing programs. She is a strong advocate for student initiatives. Her expertise has been sought by other units on campus. Not many new professionals would be confident enough to take on such leadership initiatives so early in their career. In addition to co-presenting at the 32nd Annual Conference on Academic Advising in October, Kellie will also be recognized as a recipient of the 2008 NACADA outstanding Advising Certificate of Merit in the New Advisor category
