On October 4, 2008 the AAAP partnered with Alumni Relations and co-sponsored the Chicago Area Alumni Reception. Alumni gathered at the Congress Plaza Hotel and enjoyed good food, camaraderie, a university update, and learned how to remain engaged with Oakland University through the AAAP. Carlo Licata, SBA ’05 and Nicole Ezell, CAS ’97 signed up to be a part of the Alumni Admissions Ambassador Program after learning about the AAAP during the reception. Later in the month, both ambassadors teamed up with Meghan Kelly, senior recruitment adviser, at the Chicago Fall National Fair. Licata and Ezell had the opportunity to share their OU experience with dozens of high school students and parents while connecting with their community.
