Traffic enforcement operation planned near campus

From 10 a.m to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov., 19, Oakland University and Auburn Hills Police Department officers will conduct traffic enforcement operations on University Drive between Squirrel and Pontiac Roads, as well as on Squirrel Road between Cross Creek Parkway and Walton Boulevard.

During this time, advisory signs labeled “Traffic Enforcement Zone” will be displayed as drivers enter the areas. All traffic laws will be enforced, but particular attention will be directed toward those who speed, follow another vehicle too closely or fail to yield the right of way.

The enforcement operation is planned in conjunction with a commitment on the part of the Oakland University and Auburn Hills police departments to provide a safe environment for those who live and work in the community, as well as those who travel through it.

For further information regarding traffic enforcement details, call Auburn Hills Police Sergeant Steve Groehn at (248) 364-6863 or Oakland University Police Sergeant Terry Ross at (248) 370-3331.
