MBH fundraiser offers holiday shoppers unique gift ideas

By Shannon O’Berski, contributing writer

Do the holidays find you always in a hurry? Do you have trouble finding a parking spot?

Come to the “A Few of Our Favorite Things” shopping boutique at Meadow Brook Hall. This fun event features more than 30 local artisans and vendors offering a unique selection of gifts. Visitors will be sure to find something for everyone on their list.

Some of this year’s featured vendors include Hip Hostess, Art for a Cause and Style Natural by Barbara Boz, whose bracelets were worn by Oprah Winfrey on the cover of her O Magazine.

The shopping boutique is sponsored through a partnership between Meadow Brook Hall and the Rochester Juniors Woman’s Club. All proceeds directly benefit the hall.

“It was the perfect combination – shopping, food and cocktails inside the beautiful setting of Meadow Brook Hall. And it benefits a cause that is near and dear to us,” said Lynn Oats of the Rochester Juniors Woman’s Club.

The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Tickets are $35 per person and include hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar will be available.

Reservations for the event are required. For more information or to make reservations, call (248) 364-6200.
