Muslim film series continues

The Oakland University Islamic Studies program is hosting the 2008 Muslim film series, which presents films from across the Middle East to give viewers fresh perspectives on the Islamic world.

The final film of the series, “Bad ma ra khahad bord: The Wind Will Carry Us,” chronicles the experiences of a city engineer who travels to a remote Kurdish village on an enigmatic mission. The film is directed by Abbas Kiarostami and will be shown on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. in 156 North Foundation Hall.

The screening is free and open to the public. A post-viewing discussion will be held after the film and light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Alysa Hunton at (248) 364-6106 or hunton@oakland.edu, or visit the Muslim film series Web site.
