SEHS Education Resources Lab to host book discussion

A panel of faculty and staff from the Oakland University Reading and Language Arts program and Educational Resource Laboratory will give presentations on more than 20 children's books at the Older Persons Commission (OPC) in Rochester on Thursday, Nov. 6, from 3-4 p.m. The panel will discuss books from a variety of genres geared toward children of all ages.

“One of the best gifts any parent, grandparent or relative can give a child is the gift of good reading,” said Linda Pavonetti, associate professor of education at OU.

Representatives from the Student Michigan Education Association (SMEA) will host a book sale following the presentations, with proceeds shared between SMEA and the OPC. This event is free and open to the public.
