The Oakland University Center for Autism Research, Education and Support (OUCARES) will host its third annual Center Stage Film Premiere on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms, with a VIP reception at 6 p.m. The event will showcase the short film “The Bizarre Zone,” a parody of “The Twilight Zone."
The film was put together by children with autism and their peers at a two-week film camp held at Oakland University during the summer. Led by well-known actor, director and entertainer Joey Travolta, film camp participants learned to act, direct, write and edit their own film for public presentation.
This event is open to the public. Tickets to the VIP reception and film premiere cost $75. Film premiere tickets alone cost $25. Sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact OUCARES at (248) 370-2424 or OUCARES@oakland.edu.
