Transfer Open House planned for Oct. 30

Transfer Open Houses give community college and university students interested in transferring to Oakland University the opportunity to learn more about the distinctive Oakland education and admission process. The next transfer open house is planned for Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5-7:30 p.m.  

Prospective students will be able to ask questions about requirements or opportunities from academic advisers from each department. They can also apply to OU and receive an immediate admissions decision by bringing unofficial transcripts from each college or university attending to the open house. Students are asked to bring two copies of each transcript. 

Information will be available about academic programs, admissions requirements, financial aid, general education requirements and transfer credit procedures. Representatives will be available to answer questions and concerns about transferring credits from other institutions. Accepted students can sign up for orientation at the open house as well.
