OU to host International Conference on Romanticism
Oakland University will host the International Conference on Romanticism Thursday, Oct. 16, and Friday, Oct. 17, at the Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester, and Saturday, Oct. 18, and Sunday, Oct. 19, on campus in the Gold Rooms of the Oakland Center.
The conference will examine the social, cultural, political and artistic impact of Romanticism, featuring scholarly research from leading experts in the field. Plenary speakers Ann Mellor and Ray Fleming will present research on important themes of the Romantic era. A banquet will be held at Meadow Brook Hall on Saturday, Oct. 18, at 8 p.m. for registered attendees and their guests.
Registration cost is $130. All attendees must be current members of the International Conference on Romanticism. Membership applications can be downloaded from the International Conference on Romanticism Web site. For more information on the event, visit OU's conference Web site.
