Vince & Joe’s hosts benefit for OU Art Gallery

The Second Annual Art and Culinary Soiree, a gourmet and art event to benefit the Oakland University Art Gallery (OUAG), will take place on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. Featuring international foods, fine wines, musical entertainment and original artwork by OU faculty and students, the benefit will be held at Vince & Joe’s Shelby Township location, 55178 Van Dyke Avenue.

The event will feature delicious gourmet food from around the world, prepared by Vince & Joe’s Executive Chef Neil Cusumano; award-winning wines from premier international vineyards, presented for tasting by Sommelier Ted Ross; and captivating, original artwork by OU faculty and student artists. The artwork will be available for purchase.  Entertainment for the evening will feature the Oakland University Jazz Ensemble and “Made in Italy”, an old-world musical trio. In addition to providing a venue for the event, Vince & Joe’s is generously donating all food. Oakland University faculty members are donating their artwork to the cause, and a percentage of the sale of student pieces will benefit the OUAG.

The OUAG is a non-profit gallery located on the campus of Oakland University. It offers six cutting-edge exhibitions annually, as well as lectures, catalogues and seminars. All exhibits and talks are open to the public. The gallery also serves as an academic resource to students who aspire to be art educators or professional artists.

Tickets to the 2nd Annual Art and Culinary Soirée are $75 per person, and additional sponsorship opportunities are available. To purchase a ticket, become a sponsor, or for more information on the event, contact Jacky Leow at (248) 370-3005 or jaleow@oakland.edu.
