Ask-A-Grizz tables provide campus, resource info

The start of the semester can be a hectic time for new students as they become acclimated to new surroundings. To help ease the transition, Ask-A-Grizz information tables will be set up in the Oakland Center to help students navigate campus during the first week of classes. The tables will be staffed by Orientation Group Leaders (OGL) who can help students find classes and provide information about campus resources and events.

 

OGL are specially trained to help students, said Sara Webb, assistant director of Orientation and New Student Programs. “They have completed a four-week training program and are well-versed in campus resources.” 

 

Webb said the guides are available to help with many common “first-day” issues such as payment due dates, parking, and campus events. They can also direct students to the Financial Aid Office, Graham Health Center or any other campus location.
