OU Athletic Department, Housing form partnership

The Oakland University Housing Department and Golden Grizzlies Athletics have formed a new partnership for the 2008-09 academic year. This new partnership is a shared focus of Director of Athletics Tracy Huth and Housing Director Lionel Maten to encourage further student and community engagement in campus events, including athletics.

Beginning in September, Housing and Athletics will combine resources to offer students the best student-fan experience and the opportunity to enjoy special events both on and off-campus at low or no cost.

Collaboration between these two University departments will provide funding and support for student events including the Grizz Gang Jumpin’ Jamboree, the IPFW student road trip, and men’s and women’s basketball season promotions including the chance for one lucky student to win free single occupancy private housing for the fall semester of 2009.

For more information and for upcoming athletics events, visit the OU Athletics Web site.
