Each year, Oakland University’s highest academic achievers are recognized on the dean’s list. The 2007-08 dean’s list, which is posted annually following the winter semester for the previous academic year, is now available online.
This year, 1,169 undergraduate and post-bachelor students were named to the dean’s list.
The dean's list recognizes students committed to academic excellence. To be named to the dean’s list, students must attain a grade point average of 3.60 or higher for 12 numerically graded credits in each of the consecutive fall and winter semesters.
OU students, their relatives and friends may visit Oakland University’s Web site to access the dean’s list, which is searchable by last name, first name, city, major or class. Alternatively, online visitors may view the entire list alphabetically by last name.
Note that the online list is not complete because some students who qualified for the dean’s list have requested their names not be published for privacy reasons.
Dean’s list students will have their names submitted to their local newspapers.
The 2006-07, 2005-06, 2004-05, 2003-04, 2002-03 and 2001-02 dean’s lists also are available online at the dean’s list Web site.
