Envision Nursing conference to be held at OU

Oakland University’s School of Nursing (SON) and presenting sponsor William Beaumont Hospitals is hosting the second annual “Envision Conference, Entrepreneurship in Nursing Leading to Change” on September 26, 2008 at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, Michigan. Poster Presentation proposals are also expected to be displayed during the conference.

Keynote speaker Louise Woerner, chairman and president of Home Care of Rochester in Rochester, New York, will present her work on home care nursing and how it is changing the way healthcare is being delivered. Nationally renowned speaker, consultant and leadership trainer Michael Wickett from Auburn Hills, Michigan, will speak on his roles as an entrepreneur and teach others how to become a leader in their profession. Patricia Chiverton, dean for the University of Rochester’s School of Nursing will discuss how to connect entrepreneurship to education. Professor Joanne Chung from Polytechnic University School of Nursing in Hong Kong will present information on entrepreneurship in informatics.

Late registration is $95 and runs from August 1 to September 19. Deadline for poster presentations is August 1.
