Rec Center open to those without power

Many Oakland University students, faculty and staff have been affected by the recent wide-spread series of storms that hit southeast Michigan last weekend. In some cases, power has been out since Sunday and there are indications it might be several more days until all power is restored. The Department of Campus Recreation invites members of the OU community and their families, who have been affected by power and water outages, to use the locker room and shower facilities in the Rec Center.

Those who wish to use the facilities should bring their OU SpiritCard and shower supplies to the Welcome Center entrance. The Rec Center is open from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday.

For more information, contact the Rec Center at (248) 370-4732.
