Prospective students interested in one of the 99 graduate degree and certificate programs need only stop at the Graduate Open House for information on most programs, financial aid and admissions.
The open house, which will be held from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 in the Oakland Center Banquet Rooms, will allow prospective students to compare programs and start the application process that evening.
There will be someone on hand from most programs to personally answer questions, and prospective students may be able to speak to some current students, said Christina Grabowski, assistant director of Graduate Study and Lifelong Learning
“It really is a one-stop-shop,” Grabowski said. “It’s an opportunity to interact with faculty and learn about specific programs they are interested in.”
This is the third year for the Graduate Open House, Grabowski said, and 200 to 300 prospective students usually attend the event.
“It’s been growing and growing,” she said.
There were 3,992 graduate students enrolled at OU in the fall 2007 semester. About 4,000 new graduate applications are received each year.
