Margaret Roytek

Margaret Roytek is an exceptional instructor, teaching some of the most challenging courses in the Human Resources Development (HRD) program. Faculty and students have consistently commented on her ability to use her extensive business and industry background to create authentic learning experiences for Oakland University students. Roytek was instrumental in the design and implementation of Open Computer Laboratory Hours for all HRD students to enable them to complete course assignments individually and collaboratively in teams. Roytek is a professional who is committed to continuous improvement in teaching. Her teaching specialty is developing the principles and practices for using technology to transform organizations. Her extensive experience in a human resources corporate environment enabled her to redesign courses to reflect the latest workplace practices, thereby bringing authentic experiences to HRD students. One student stated, “With her experience and expertise, I believe she is one of the best professors that I have had at Oakland.” Another said, “Dr. Roytek is a role model for women in the human resource development field. She is very inspirational and wants her students to be successful.”
