OUAA accepting award nominations

The Oakland University Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 14^th Annual OUAA Alumni Awards Banquet scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 8 2008. Nominations are due by Monday, May 12, 2008.

The OUAA Awards Banquet brings together hundreds of OU graduates to honor achievement in business, community service and volunteerism. The OUAA will also honor friends of the OU community with honorary alumni awards.

Nominations are being accepted for the following awards:

• Distinguished Alumni Service Award — OU’s highest alumni honor, this award recognizes outstanding alumni leadership and service to the alumni association and the university.
• Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award — This award recognizes outstanding professional achievement and/or contributions to the community.
• Spirit Award — Exemplary volunteer service to the university is recognized through this award.
• Odyssey Award — This award recognizes alumni who seek to exemplify OU’s motto “to seek virtue and knowledge.”
• Honorary Alumni Award—This award is granted to an individual who has not graduated from OU but who has given outstanding service to the university.
