Faculty and staff honored for years of service

Changes to the program format for faculty and staff honored for years of service were well received at a two recent events.

Those who achieved thirty and forty years of service during 2007 were honored at a dinner at Meadow Brook Hall hosted by OU President Gary Russi. The honorees also received a framed certificate commemorating their years of service and a specially designed gift. The gift for thirty years was a Bulova anniversary clock for the mantel engraved with Oakland University 30 Years of Service. Recipients of the 40 year gift received a signature watch which was also engraved with the years of service, 1967-2007. Those who received the honor this year were:

Russi also hosted an afternoon reception for faculty and staff who achieved ten and twenty years of service during 2007. Honorees were invited to bring a guest to enjoy refreshments and socializing. After sharing a few words of thanks, Dr. Russi greeted recipients with a hand shake and photo as they walked across the stage. In addition to the framed certificate, honorees received a pair of marble bookends for twenty years or a pen and padfolio set for ten years. Those honored for ten and twenty years were:
