Musical theatre student selected for prestigious Yale conference

Oakland University student Anne Marie Nouhan, of Grosse Pointe Park, has been accepted in the distinguished Yale University Cabaret Conference this summer. Yale accepts only 36 performers from all over the U.S., Canada and Great Britain, who earn the spots through auditions. Anne Marie is a junior at OU and has appeared often on the Varner stage, in shows such as By Jupiter, Urinetown, HONK! and this season’s Steel Pier. She is among 12 seniors performers now in rehearsals for this year’s Meadow Brook Estate event, Spotlights, an evening of solo cabaret acts, on stage April 16-19, 8 p.m. in Varner Studio Theatre.

To learn more about the Cabaret Conference, visit their Web site.

For tickets to Spotlights, visit Star Tickets Plus! or stop by the Varner Box Office, open Tuesday-Friday, 3-6 p.m. and one hour before performances. For information, call 248-370-3013.
